Villanueva spends Mother's Day celebration on medical, dental mission in Bocaue, Bulacan

Senator Joel Villanueva has spent his Mother's Day celebration with the people of Bocaue, Bulacan for a medical and dental mission on Sunday, May 14.

The said mission was held in coordination with the local government unit of Bocaue, and Bulacan Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. who was in charge with bringing in volunteer doctors to service the people of Bocaue.

Over 1,000 residents were benefitted by the medical and dental mission in Barangay Batia, Bocaue, Bulacan. The place is one of the relocation sites in the said town.

Villanueva, who hails from Bocaue, said that this mission is "a way of giving back to the people". Mayor Joni Villanueva of Bocaue was also present at the event.

"We expect that there will be more medical and dental missions such as this not only in Bulacan but also in several parts of the country in the coming months or years. I believe this is one form of public service where we really go to the grassroots and initiate a program with LGUs and organizations to help those who are in need especially in addressing their health issues," Villanueva said.

Among the services rendered by the said medical and dental mission were dental extraction, general check-up, and optical check-up for the elderly aged 40 and above. FullSizeRender 11
