Sen. Cynthia A. Villar promotes aquaculture: Senator Cynthia A. Villar leads the opening and launching of the “Training of Trainors on Freshwater Aquaculture” at Vintahan, Lakefront, Muntinlupa City. The senator, chair of the Senate agriculture committee, has been calling for more people to be involved in the rapidly growing aquaculture industry as she underscores the significant role it will play in the country’s long-term food security goals. The participants in the event are fisherfolks and farmers’ organizations and cooperatives from the National Capital Region and Calabarzon Region. This is another initiative of Villar SIPAG in partnership with the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Region IV-A.
