Go congratulates Philippine Military Academy "Sambisig" Class of 1991, assures further support to the AFP and PNP

Senator Christopher Lawrence 'Bong' Go congratulated the new honorary and associate members of the Philippine Military Academy "Sambisig" Class of 1991 during their oath-taking at the Manila Hotel on July 18.

During his speech, Go expressed his deepest gratitude to the members of Air Force, Army, Navy, and PNP for their greatest contribution to the country and for helping the Duterte administration in securing the country.

"Unang-una, salamat po sa inyong serbisyo sa bayan, hindi po magiging successful ang administrasyon ni Presidente Duterte without your help," he said.

Likewise, the Senator pledged to prioritize the AFP and PNP in the Senate. Go also said that he will extend his assistance to their families.

Kung ano man po ang pwede namin maitulong kahit sa kamag anak ninyo, kung kailangan ng pagpapagamot, do not hesitate to approach me.

Last July 09, Senator Go filed SB 393, otherwise known as An Act Providing Free Legal Assistance To Any Officer Or Enlisted Personnel Of The Armed Forces Of The Philippines And The Philippine National Police On Any Charge Before The Prosecutor's Office, Court Or Any Competent Body Arising From An Incident Or Incidents Related To The Performance Of Official Duty.

The said bill intends to provide free legal assistance to any officer or enlisted personnel of the AFP and the PNP, who is facing before the prosecutor's office, court, administrative or any competent body, any charge arising from any incident related to the performance of official duty.

If passed into law, the amount necessary for the effective implementation of the Act shall be sourced from the Legal Defense Fund funded through the General Appropriations Act.

Meanwhile, Go encouraged the AFP and PNP to continue working hard for the country. He also pledged to pay back all their hardship with his support and through his fast, accessible, and quality services for the Filipinos.
