Sen. Ejercito's supporters declare Saturday a 'JV Day'

HUNDREDS of thousands of supporters of Senator JV Ejercito are set to come out in the streets on Saturday to express huge support for the senator's reelection bid.

This was announced on Thursday by Tony Garcia, executive director of JV Para sa Bayan Movement, as he invited all who want the "good one" Ejercito to be back in the Senate.

"We declare Saturday, May 4, as 'JV day.' I would like to invite everybody to come out and express support in any way they wish for Senator JV Ejercito,'" Garcia said in a statement.

Garcia said Ejercito is the real 'good one' because in his 18 years in public service, he has a clean track record and never got involved in any anomaly or graft and corruption.

As a legislator, he has 80, laws, notable of these are the Universal Health Care and the Creation of Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development measures; 572 bills, and 108 resolutions.

Garcia said volunteers for Ejercito nationwide, from Baguio all the way to Cotabato, will participate in the nationwide mass action, to be highlighted by street marches, motorcades, rallies noise barrages, public discussions of Ejercito's advocacies and accomplishments, and other forms of gesture of support.

Also joining the "JV Day" is the Junior Chamber International-Philippines, a group of civic-minded professionals, which he once led as its president.

"Wala pong requirement sa 'JV Day' basta naniniwala, sumusuporta, at nakikipaglaban para kay Senator JV Ejercito at malinis na paglilingkod," Garcia said.

He added: "We will make sure that we will not cause heavy traffic and we have marshals to make this orderly and peaceful, although festive."
