Statement of Senator Win Gatchalian on the ongoing 2019 budget impasse

Once again, I call on the House leadership to end the stalemate over the 2019 budget by recalling its tampered version and reverting to the version of the budget that was ratified by both chambers of Congress.

Patapos na ang Marso at magsisimula na ang paghahanda para sa susunod na school year. Kasama na rito ang pagpapatayo ng mga karagdagang classrooms at pagkuha ng dagdag na teachers. Hindi ito magagawa ng DepEd hangga't hindi naisasabatas ang budget para sa taong ito.

We should not let our teachers and schoolchildren suffer just because of the machinations of some members of the House of Representatives.
