Statement of Sen. Cynthia A. Villar on Boracay issue

I would like to reiterate and stress that all developments in our Boracay investment have long stopped.

As a public servant and as the chairperson of the Senate Committee on Environment and Natural Resources, I remain committed to protecting and preserving our natural riches esp the efforts to rehabilitate Boracay and restore it to its pristine environment.

My duty to our nation is primary and is above and separate from my family's business interests.'
