SENATOR JV Ejercito finds Boracay closure for a six-month rehabilitation as an opportunity for other tourist spots in the country to shine.

"Definitely, this is a chance for other equally beautiful places and hidden wonders around the country to be discovered while Boracay is undergoing rehabilitation," he said in a statement.

He called on the Department of Tourism and the private stakeholders in the tourism industry to close ranks and implement a massive promotional campaign for other equally exciting tourist destinations in the country.

"For every crisis, there is an opportunity. I believe that this is a great chance for other tourist destinations to take center stage. I have never doubted the creativity and resiliency of our people to rise above challenges. We have so many attractive places for tourists. We even have medical tourism," he said.
