CHEATING WAS MASSIVE, INSTITUTIONALIZED AND UNPRECEDENTED--SEN. BONGBONG MARCOS
"I will eventually take my seat that is being kept warm for me"

Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos Jr. today declared that the cheating carried out in the May 9, 2016 elections was massive and unprecedented because it has become institutionalized.

This as he vowed to present the "true results" of the elections so that he can assume the position that is being warmed up for him. "We will definitely show the true results (and) "I will eventually take my seat that is being kept warm for me," Marcos said.

In a press conference at Annabel's Restaurant in Quezon City, his first after the May 9 elections, Marcos stated that while he expected there would be irregularities in the polls, he did not expect it to be as uncouth and flagrant as what was carried out in the recent elections.

"Talaga namang maliwanag na maliwanag sa taong bayan na napakalawak at napaka.siguro I think the best expression, napakawalanghiya ang pagkagawa sa pagbabastos at pagkabalewala sa boses ng taong bayan. Kaya't ito'y talagang patuloy nating ipaglalaban," he said.

I could not imagine that anyone could be so cavalier about the electoral protest and again this partisan effort over the elections was something that is unprecedented. And I think it reflects a lack of concern as to what people think---walang pakialam talaga. Kahit na alam ninyong lahat na nadaya kami wala silang pakialam--parang ganun ang naging attitude. That is something that we have never anticipated. We never imagined that people holding high office could possibly behave in such a manner."

He said his legal team is confident that they have enough evidence to establish massive fraud in the elections as he pointed out that a lot of people have offered their help to his protest by presenting evidence of the massive cheating. "The ground for electoral protest is so many na kailangan ngayong pagpilian," he pointed out.

He added he owes it to the more than 14 million who voted for him as well as to those whose votes were not counted because what is at stake is the integrity of the elections.

"Kailangan nating ipagpatuloy ang ating kampanya na ito hindi laman para sa boto, hindi na para sa halalan, kundi para ipagpatuloy ang paglaban para nga mabilang at makilala at marinig ang tunay na boses ng taong bayan na ibinoto nila noong nakaraang halalan," he said.

He said around 3 million votes have not been counted.

Marcos also noted that the cheating was institutionalized and so massive that perpetuators have covered all aspects in the elections. "Syempre hindi natin inaasahan na ganun ang magiging pandaraya na gagawin, na institutionalized at many, many levels, in many, many ways," he described.

He directly accused the Administration through the Commission on Elections and service provider Smartmatic of perpetuating the massive fraud. "Well we see that the problems were with Comelec and the problems were with Smartmatic. Now who was behind all of that? I think we will slowly be able to show that, because the only people who can institutionalize this kind of cheating is the Administration," he said.

The Senator stated that cheating was not only limited to vote buying but also covered wholesale ballot shading and tampering with the transmission system. "Marami kaming pruweba tungkol sa vote-buying. Marami kaming pruweba tungkol sa yung mga ginagawa sa ibang lugar na hindi nakaboto at bukod pa diyan ay doon nga sa pagbibilang ng boto at pagta-transmit ng mga boto at sa ngayon ay maraming nawawalang boto at hindi nga natin makita kung saan napunta," he stressed.

He then thanked his supporters for always being there for him saying they are the very reason why he is pursuing his quest for truth. "I would like to thank all of those who have supported me, who helped me in this campaign. I think the swell of support was overwhelming, talagang nakakataba ng puso na tinanggap ang ating mensahe ng pagkakaisa. At habang buhay ay hindi na natin makakalimutan ang lahat ng mga nangyari sa kampanya. Para sa kanila itong pagsusumikap kong ito," he concluded.
