POE: MAKE ENERGY AFFORDABLE NOT JUST AVAILABLE

CEBU CITY--Energy should not only be made available but also affordable, Sen. Grace Poe said during the PiliPinas Debates in the University of Philippines campus in Cebu.

According to Poe, other sources of energy such as solar, wind and hydropower must be tapped.

Hindi pwedeng plano lamang," she said.

Poe also said that if electricity continues to be monopolized by one or a few families, it is impossible to lower the price of electricity, the senator said.

Poe recommended amendments to the economic provisions of the Constitution to allow more players in the industry to generate more employment opportunities for the people.
