POE WELCOMES SC DECISION

Presidential frontrunner Sen. Grace Poe yesterday said she will utilize the victory of her disqualification case before the Supreme Court as a motivating force to further unify and bring progress to the people from all walks of life.

In an interview with newsmen during yesterday's celebration of International Women's Rights Day held at Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila, the standard bearer of the Partido Galing at Puso also thanked the Justices of the High Court for their just and timely decision.

She also thanked the people who placed trust, held on, and prayed for her victory over the two disqualification cases - residency and citizenship - filed against her by the Commission on Elections.

According to Poe, she heard the good news or the decision of the Supreme Court while she was in front of the Quiapo Church, on her way to the Liwasang Bonifacio to attend the Gabriela party-initiated women's rights celebrations event.

When asked if she dropped by at the Quiapo Church to pray and thank the Lord because of the good news, she said: "Siyempre, tumigil ako.

Now that she has hurdled the biggest stumbling block in her candidacy, Poe vowed to work harder in bringing her message and advocacy to the Filipino people who have been longing for a government that cares.
