Sen. Marcos: Deploy PAO Lawyers Instead
Of DOJ Prosecutors at NAIA

Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos Jr. questioned the deployment of government Prosecutors at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) saying that it's a wrong reaction to the problem of the "tanim-bala" (bullet-planting) extortion racket at the country's premier airport.

Marcos recommended the sending instead of Defense Lawyers from the Public Attorney's Office (PAO) to NAIA, "Since it is the victims of the scam that need free Defense Counsels."

The Department of Justice started deploying Prosecutors at NAIA early this month following the discovery of the modus operandi allegedly being run by a syndicate that involved corrupt airport personnel, although Marcos believed the scam has been happening for years now.
