Message of Senator Nancy Binay on the visit of Pope Francis to the Philippines

Pope Francis said that "When we are generous in welcoming people and sharing something with them--some food, a place in our homes, our time--not only do we no longer remain poor: We are enriched."

I hope that Filipinos will keep this in mind during Pope Francis' visit--that we should all be compassionate to our brothers and sisters, and treat them as we would treat God, especially for the poor, the sick and the less privileged who need our help.

Bilang bansang Kristiyano, nawa'y ang kanyang mensahe ay maisapuso ng bawat Pilipino.

Nawa po ay maisabuhay natin sa araw-araw ang mga aral at mensahe ni Hesus na ating tagapagligtas at hindi lamang ngayon na naririto ang Santo Papa.

Panalangin ko po ay mapagkunan natin ng inspirasyon, lakas ng loob, pagmamalasakit at muling pagtibayin ang ating pananampalataya sa pagbisita ni Pope Francis sa ating bansa.
