Senator Bam Aquino's Statement for All Souls' Day

With All Souls' Day approaching, we expect many Filipinos to troop to the provinces to remember their loved ones who passed away.

We remind owners of public transport to ensure that their buses, ships and ferries are in good condition to bring passengers to their destination safely.

We also call on the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC), Maritme Industry Authority (MARINA) and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to implement rigid inspection in ports and terminals to ensure roadworthiness or seaworthiness of public conveyance and to avoid overloading at the same time.

Let us make sure that no tragedy will happen this year.
