Sen. Nancy Binay's Sinulog Message

Sinulog signifies the Filipino's continuing affection and devotion to the Holy Child Jesus, the Sto. Nino de Cebu. Devotees of the Sto. Nino from all walks of life bear witness to the thousands of miracles and countless favors granted to those who call on the Infant Jesus.

While we celebrate and enjoy the festivities of this year's Sinulog festival, let us not forget to pray for our countrymen who had been battered by natural and man-made calamities last year--may the Lord give them the patience and fortitude to bear the pain of having lost their loved ones, the guidance and strength to endure the trials and challenges, and the encouragement to rebuild their lives and their hope.

The power of prayer through our collective faith to the Sto. Nino puts us all into a common spiritual ground to celebrate life.

With the Lord's guidance, today, we begin the process of healing and moving forward.
