Statement by Senator Franklin M. Drilon on the appointment of
Secretary Mar Roxas to DILG and of Congressman Joseph Abaya to DOTC

I support the President's appointment of Secretary Mar Roxas to lead the Department of the Interior and Local Government. He has the full trust of the President and he shares the same vision with the President which is crucial in putting forward the reforms that the administration has envisioned for the local government and which the late Secretary Jesse Robredo had started.

I likewise support the appointment of Congressman Joseph Abaya to the Department of Transportation and Communication given his experience and the kind of leadership he has shown as congressman and House Committee on Appropriations chairman.
