The long lines at the Heritage Park, which I saw myself, and the accolades from various sectors that the late comedy king continuously receives are true testaments that the people have spoken.

The people, by their words and actions, have accorded Dolphy the highest "award" and recognition any actor and artist can possibly receive.

I am in favor of recognizing Dolphy as a national artist, though that would only then be a formality should it be given later.

Vox populi, vox dei. It is not a matter of discussion anymore. Dolphy has long joined the line of our National Artists.
