KIKO SAYS KOKO WELCOME IN LP SLATE

Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan, a high-ranking member of the Liberal Party, says that senator Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III is welcome in the Liberal Party should he decide to seek a new political home.

Pimentel has reportedly asked the UNA coalition to drop his erstwhile political rival, former Senator Miguel Zubiri, from the slate and has threatened to leave the coalition should its decision-makers intsist on keeping Zubiri.

Of this, Pangilinan says, "Koko is welcome to become a candidate for the LP coalition if he is in search of an alternative to the UNA line-up. He will be more than welcome to the ticket and, should he decide to affiliate himself with us, I am willing to help him do so and persuade the leadership of the party and the coalition to include him in the ticket."

In 2010, Pangilinan was the campaign manager of the Liberal Party's senatorial slate.
