SENATOR RAMON BONG REVILLA, JR. HEADS
LAKAS COUNCIL OF LEADERS

LAKAS Party President, Senator Ramon Bong Revilla, Jr. was unanimously elected as Chairman of the party's Council of Advisers during their executive committee and national council meeting held today at the Diamond Hotel.

Revilla is given the blanket authority to name the composition of the council. During the council meeting, a resolution was adopted reverting the original name of the party - Lakas Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD).

In his keynote speech, Revilla noted that the strengths of the party are its members' loyalty and commitment.

The lawmaker stressed that LAKAS continues to pursue its ideals even when it is not the ruling party. "We are not a party which exists only for political rhetoric motherhood statements, and election propaganda, but a party with a vibrant tradition of nation building and genuine services to the Filipino people. Walang administrasyon, walang oposisyon, lahat para sa bayan," he pointed out.

Revilla assured his party mates his full support whatever circumstances may bring.
