BONG REVILLA SLAMS DBM REPORT

Senator Ramon Bong Revilla, Jr. today slammed the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) report published on its website on January 3, 2012 stating that his office was appropriated and released 210 million pesos in Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF).

"The report is false," Bong Revilla stressed. "There was no acquisition of 529 multicabs for Cavite," explaining that contrary to the website's data, only 23 multicabs were acquired through his PDAF which amounted only to 5 million and not 115 million. "The report reflected that entry 23 times. Kaya yung 5 million, naging 115 million," he explained.

"The DBM must clear this. It's not right that it appears my PDAF was grossly disproportional to those of my colleagues. They should also correct it because the report implied that my PDAF was padded by 110 million pesos," he stressed. "They should be careful with releasing facts. Inaccuracy on sensitive information can damage people."

A perusal of the senator's PDAF appropriations would show that the most number of allocations (P45 million) went to financial and medical assistance throughout the country and not to the acquisition of patrol vehicles as was reported. Other expenditures went to the improvement of vital infrastructures in the country.
