KOKO PIMENTEL: PRIORITY ARE SENDONG VICTIMS

Senator Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III has denied published reports of a pledge of P25-million for the renovation of the Bacolod City National High School Arts Center.

"As of the moment, priority is focused on rebuilding the lives of thousands of victims devastated by the recent typhoon Sendong in the Visayas and Northern Mindanao, particularly in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan cities," Pimentel added.

Thus, Pimentel said since there are limited public funds available, priority would have to be on efforts to rebuild homes of those severely affected, and to assist those who lost a family member during the typhoon as well as those who are still living in evacuation centers.
