ANGARA PROMOTES EDUCATION OF SPANISH TEACHERS
IN PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOLS

Senator Edgardo J. Angara lauded the graduation of 95 high school teachers from a summer program in the Instituto Cervantes for Spanish language teaching as a major step toward reviving the use of the language among young Filipinos.

Angara had helped push for the re-inclusion of the Spanish language in the secondary education curriculum.

He also authored the law declaring June 30 as the Philippine-Spanish Friendship Day, the premier event promoting our cultural and historic ties.
