"Three Kings" go out to help Villar's 2010 bid

The country's King of Comedy, King of Noontime Show and King of Billiards joined forces to support the presidential bid of Nacionalista Party standard bearer, Sen. Manny Villar.

In the party's proclamation rally held Sunday at Macario Sakay Public Park in Moriones, Tondo, Dolphy, King of Comedy; Willie Revillame, King of Noontime Show; and Efren "Bata" Reyes, King of Billiards, endorsed Villar before the more than 20,000 cheering crowd.

"Tulad ni Manny Villar, ako po ay laking Tondo. Dyan sa kanto ng Moriones at Sta. Maria, diyan ako naglalaro, diyan ako lumaki," Dolphy said.

"Taga-Tondo ang tatakbo, kelangan tulungan natin," he added.

Dolphy also said Villar personifies the story of a poor man's struggle to achieve his dreams.

Villar is pushing for the nomination of Dolphy as a National Artist in recognition of his outstanding achievement in the entertainment industry.

Revillame, host of the high-rating noontime show, "Wowowee," also showed up to throw his support for his good friend and vowed to wear orange, Villar's color, in his show.

"Mga taga- Tondo, malaking bahagi kayo sa aming puso. Kung nakapagbibigay ng sigla at tuwa ang inyong programang Wowowee, kailangan naman natin ang isang taong maghahatid sa atin sa tunay na pagbabago. Ang taong aking lubos na pinagkakatiwalaan si Sen. Manny Villar," Revillame said.

Revillame also urged the public to use him as a bridge so he can extend to Villar and the entire NP slate their needs.

Reyes, world class billiards player, said it is only right to vote for Villar who has genuine concern for the welfare of the poor. Villar is also a staunch supporter of billiards, having sponsored the Villards Cup in many cities across the country.

"Alam ninyo, kahit kinakabahan ako, pinilit kong magsalita sa inyong harapan upang suportahan si Sen. Manny Villar dahil alam kong malaki ang maitutulong niya sa sports partikular sa bilyar dahil natatangi siyang pulitiko na tumutulong sa maliliit at bagitong bilyarista," Reyes said.

The proclamation rally was also attended by Sen. Loren Legarda, the candidate for vice president. The party's senatorial slate was unveiled composed of Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago, Sen, Pia Cayetano, Rep. Bongbong Marcos, OFW champion Susan Ople, Atty. Adel Tamano, Col. Ariel Querubin, Ramon "Mon-Mon" Mitra, Atty. Gwendolyn Pimentel and Sen. Ramon Revilla.
