VILLAR READILY EXTENDS HELP TO COUNTRYMEN IN NEED

Nacionalista Party President Senator Manny Villar's willingness to extend aid to those who require it, is again displayed as he lends a hand to a mother in dire need of assistance.

While Sen. Villar was in Radyo Natin's Saturday program "Sa Maunlad na Kabukiran", a mother from Sultan Kudarat called the program line asking for help which made the senator instantly answer the mother's plea.

Mrs. Adora Hornoz of Isulan, Sultan Kudarat asked Radyo Natin to help out her son, Julius Hornoz and three other companions; Dondon Mark Hulleza, from Isulan as well; Michael John Botapora; and Jun Ray Era, both from Surallah, South Cotabato.

She mentions that Julius and the three that are with him have been experiencing extreme hunger and cold for several days now. They are now staying at the Marikina Gymnasium since the factory where they work at had been completely flooded due to the typhoon Ondoy.

"I truly cannot deny our fellow countrymen who are in need of help and assistance," said Villar. "Especially coming from a mother who is worried sick of her son that lives far away, I understand what she is going through since my own mother still shows her utmost care and worry for me," added Villar.

Aside from taking care of the travel expenses of Julius and his companions, Sen. Villar also gave P5,000 additional capital to Mr. Ricardo Dignum of Macalaya, Castilla, Sorsogon for his tinapa business during the same program. The estimate earnings from the additional capital will be P1,000 per day.

Mr. Dignum wrote to the program "Sa Maunlad na Kabukiran" through the project "Sagip Agrikultura."

After extending help to the callers of the said program, Sen. Villar immediately went to Tondo, Manila to continue giving relief aid and assistance to the residents who were affected by the disaster brought by typhoon Ondoy.
