Update on Tulong Villar Relief Assistance
Assistance in Full Blast; Volunteers Still Welcome

Nacionalista Party President Senator Manny Villar expresses his appreciation to all the volunteers who troop to the headquarters of Tulong Villar Relief Assistance for the victims of typhoon Ondoy. Relief and assistance efforts of Villar's team are proceeding non-stop.

Tulong Villar Relief Assistance as of 4 pm today (29 September) has delivered 4,023 packs of goods and rescued or transported 3,750 victims, bringing the total to 44,773 victims helped.

"Time is of utmost importance and we want to reach as many people or communities as possible. We have 40 teams dispatched in badly affected areas to provide more help and assistance. Many volunteers are also helping our team's efforts," said Villar.

Tulong Villar is accepting donations and supplies at the entrance of Star Mall (Edsa cor. Shaw Boulevard). It also welcomes volunteers to help pack relief packages, they can go to Vista Land office at World Wide Corporate Center, Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City--just in front of Star Mall.

"The Filipinos' tested faith in God, formidable spirit and volunteerism efforts are major factors that would make our country overcome this latest disaster that hit us. Everyone has shed their political colors and set aside their political agenda to unite and extend help where it is most needed," said Villar.

Villar also urge various camps to stop comparing efforts or making loaded statements about other groups and organizations. "We are in the midst of an emergency, there is no place for snide remarks or veiled innuendos. This is not about us anymore, this is about the typhoon victims and how we can help them recover from the disaster."
