STATEMENT OF SEN. MAR ROXAS ON THE
DEMISE OF 'KA ERDY' MANALO

"I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the family of the late Eraño 'Ka Erdy' Manalo and to the Iglesia ni Cristo for his untimely demise on Monday afternoon.

"Ka Erdy's passing is a great loss, not only to the Iglesia ni Cristo and its followers but to the entire nation as well. His inspirational leadership and great vision has brought together millions of Filipinos here and abroad through a dedicated ministry of faith and worship.

"Ka Erdy has made the Iglesia ni Cristo to what it is today: awe-inspiring in number, influence and strength. His contributions to his religious family's presence and influence in the national firmament will always be remembered dearly.

"I have faith in the capability of the Iglesia ni Cristo to continue forging on and carry on the great vision of Ka Erdy.
