ROXAS SHRUGS OFF GMA, PALACE VERBAL ATTACKS
FIGHT FOR PEOPLE'S INTEREST LIKE CHEAP MEDS ONLY CONCERN

Liberal President Senator Mar Roxas today shrugged off continuing verbal and political attacks on him by President Arroyo and her spin masters and preferred to continue fighting for people's interests, particularly his advocacy for cheaper quality medicines.

Roxas said no amount of verbal or political attacks on him by Mrs. Arroyo and her political subalterns would deter him from his strong stance against her government's continuing failure to provide and protect the people's interests because of the President's preference to advance instead her and her political and business allies' interests.

"Ipinaglalaban ko ang interes ng taumbayan gaya ng murang gamot. Kita naman ng buong bansa na kung ano-ano ang inaatupag ni GMA gaya ng mga junket niya abroad imbes na ipatupad ng todo ang murang gamot (I am fighting for the people's interests like the program for cheap medicines. The entire country sees anyway that GMA is giving priority to other things like her junkets abroad instead of fully implementing the cheap medicines program)," he said.

"Walang nagbago sa maling prayoridad ni GMA (Nothing has changed in her wrong priorities)," he added.

"Hindi ako apektado ng mga paninira ng Malakanyang, expected na natin yang mga patutsadang sablay mula kay GMA at sa mga alipores niya. Ipaglalaban ko ang taumbayan! (I am not the least affected by Malacañang's malicious attacks, as I have long expected these from GMA and her allies. I will always fight for our people's interest!)," the Visayan senator declared.
