As 3rd regular session opens
MORE BILLS EXPECTED FROM SENATOR ANGARA

As the third regular session of the 14th Congress opens Senator Edgardo J. Angara continues to push for bills that address nations' issues, people's problems and concerns.

"Expect your Congress to pass more laws that will make the country resilient to the effects of global recession. From environmental issues to sustain growth and manage environmental impacts, we have enacted Renewable Energy Act up to correcting distortions and anomalies in the compensation system of government employees we now have a more structured and more responsive scheme that will address the pressing economic needs of our public servants," said Angara who spearheaded Renewable Energy Act and the new Salary Standardization Law.

With the enactment of Personal Equity and Retirement Account (PERA), Credit Information System Act (CISA) Renewable Energy (RE), Phil. Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC), Automated Election System Supplemental Appropriation, SSL and Pag-Ibig which was recently signed by the President Senator Angara, still has six of his bills active and ready for interpellation, hearing and approval.

Senate Bill (SB) 2639 Providing Regulatory Framework in Real Estate Investment Companies, already approved by both houses, National Cultural Heritage Bill was approved on third reading, SB 2546, Department of Information and Communications Technology Act which was mentioned in the last State Of the Nation Address (SONA) of the President is ready for sponsorship, Paglaum Fund, ASEZA Amendments, Corporate Recovery Act and Insolvency Act and Collective Investment Schemes law are just a few bills which Angara actively works on for the earnest urgent passage.

"To know what concerns the public is just one thing, what to do and to act to address the issues is another. It is a solemn duty for any public servant to work hard and effective for the betterment of the people. I am positive and encouraging others to be optimistic as your Congress continue with its regular session," said Angara.
