SEN. REVILLA'S STATEMENT ON ILLEGAL DRUGS

The reported abduction, sedation and rape of a young daughter of an anti-drug operative is clearly an inhumane act. I urge the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation to determine if the reports are true. If positive, this is indeed a wake up call to the government to launch an all-out war on illegal drugs.

I urge the government to expedite its offensive against drug lords. We should not wait for our citizens to take the law in their own hands. Nababahala ako na kung hahayaang maghari-harian ang mga sindikatong ito na wala nang sinasanto, baka magsulputan ang mga vigilante groups laban sa illegal na droga.

Sa rules of war, hindi dapat dinadamay ang mga sibilyan lalo na ang mga babae at menor de edad. Sa isang banda, ito naman ang puntirya ng mga big time drug syndicates, ang walang pakundangang sirain ang kinabukasan ng sinuman.
