ROXAS CONTINUES TO BACK LOZADA
LOZADA TO BE ARRESTED WHILE NBN-ZTE BIG FISH REMAIN FREE

Liberal President Senator Mar Roxas today reiterated his support of the advocacy of witness Rodolfo "Jun" Lozada, who is now at risk of being arrested on the basis of sham cases filed against him for blowing the whistle on the ZTE-National Broadband Network deal anomaly.

"Jun, as I've told you before, may the force be with you. We will continue to be with you. Lalaban tayo (we will fight with you)," Roxas said in relation to Lozada's current legal predicament.

"Anuman ang mangyari, mananaig ang katotohanan. At malaking bahagi nito'y dahil sa katapatan at katapangan ni Jun Lozada (Whatever happens, the truth will prevail. And a big reason for this is Jun Lozada's courage and conviction)," he stressed.

A Manila Regional Trial Court judge ruled recently that there was probable cause to order the arrest of Lozada for perjury. The case was filed by former Secretary Mike Defensor after Lozada claimed the former Arroyo official tried to convince him to lie about his kidnapping upon his return to the country last year from Hong Kong to testify before the Senate.

Roxas said that the lopsided justice system under the Arroyo government is highlighted by the languishing of cases against Arroyo officials behind the controversy, particularly former Elections Chairman Benjamin Abalos.

"Si Jun Lozada, makukulong na. Si Abalos naglalaro pa rin ng golf sa Wack-Wack (While Jun Lozada is about to be arrested, Abalos is still free to play golf in Wack-Wack)," he stressed.
