Press Release February 17, 2009 Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiagos' press statements Inhibition from WB Probe My short response is: She should read a book on menopause. My long response is: Question 1 - Why doesn't she run for senator and win? Question 2 - Why doesn't she have the guts to deliver a privilege speech in the House and subject herself to the interpellation of her colleagues? Question 3 - If in her exhaulted opinion, the Rules of Evidence should not be applied in committee hearings, then what rules should be applied? Question 4 - If the prosecutor or judge later throws out the case recommended by Congress for non-compliance with the Rules on Evidence, what is her alternative? Majority Caucus Today SP Enrile made a phone call to my house at La Vista. He specifically advised me not to inhibit myself, but to be present for the sake of Senate unity. |
