KIKO TO SECURITY ADVISER, ET. AL: "RESIGN OR COMMIT HARAKIRI"

Following the dissolution of the controversial GRP-MILF peace panel, Senate Majority Leader and Independent senator Kiko Pangilinan today challenged all government officials with a direct hand in the widely criticized peace pact to surrender their post out of delicadeza and to own up to this "national embarrassment."

"The dissolution to this peace panel is necessary because the members have lost all credibility and trustworthiness to continue as negotiators. Wala na silang mikhang ipapakita pa sa MILF at sa taumbayan. They are damaged goods and this is simply damage control," Kiko said.

Malacañang officials on Wednesday disclosed that the peace panel has been dissolved, as the President wants the peace process restarted only after stability was restored in Mindanao.

"Government incompetence killed the peace negotiations and so these people have to go and go quickly. In addition, apart from the panel itself, all those who had a direct hand in this unforgivable national embarrassment, from the national security adviser to the adviser to the peace process should go too. They should take the cue from the Japanese and resign or commit harakiri," Kiko ended.
