LACSON: JOKER HALLUCINATING OR LYING ON 'SHOUTING' YARN

Administration Sen. Joker Arroyo may have been looking at the mirror when he accused some of his colleagues for harassing resource persons at Senate investigations, Sen. Panfilo M. Lacson said Thursday.

Lacson said it was Arroyo and his colleagues in the pro-administration bloc who showed signs of "double standard" and "dual personality" when they shouted and threatened at witnesses in investigations of graft-ridden transactions.

"He's talking of himself. Remember how he threatened Jun Lozada?" he said, referring to Arroyo threatening engineer Rodolfo Noel Lozada Jr., a key witness in the $329.48-million ZTE broadband deal mess.

Earlier, Arroyo scored Lacson and some colleagues for chiding him for raising his voice at foreign traders at a hearing of the Joint Congressional Power Commission last week.

"He's hallucinating or lying. I've never yelled at any resource person invited by the Senate," Lacson said.

On the other hand, Lacson said Arroyo may also be talking about himself when he accused him of "double standard" where he looked down on Filipinos and looked high to foreigners.

"Look who's talking. Who else looks down on witnesses who link this government to irregularities? Who else not only looks up to Malacañang's defenders but also gives them protection?" he said of Arroyo.
