KIKO TO MALACAÑANG: COMELEC NEEDS NEW COMMISSIONERS NOW

With three vacancies for the position of commissioner in the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), Senate Majority Leader Kiko Pangilinan today urged Malacañang to immediately appoint them this month.

"What's Malacañang waiting for? Appoint the three Comelec commissioners now. We need a Comelec that is fully functional lalo pa't nalalapit na ang elesyon sa Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) sa Agosto," Kiko said.

This year, the ARMM polls will be automated. Comelec assures the public, specifically, the people in Mindanao that the voting will be easy and fast vote-counting.

"Kailangan ng Comelec ng mga bagong komisyoner na magpapatupad ng mga kinakailangang pagbabago sa ating sistemang elektoral." Kiko ended.
