KIKO TO NERI : STOP DODGING THE BULLET, WITHDRAW SC PETITION AND FACE SENATE!

Senate Majority Leader and Independent senator Kiko Pangilinan today challenged Sec Romulo Neri to withdraw his petition before the Supreme Court and face the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee to answer questions on the controversial NBN ZTE deal.

"If Lozada were lying about Neri calling PGMA evil, Neri should have said so out-and-out. Instead, he said he doesn't remember saying something like that. It's ironic that Neri remembers 'Sec, may 200 ka rito' which was said in January 2007 but he doesn't remember whether he called the President evil in December 2007! Isn't this rather strange?" Kiko asked.

"We can only say one thing. It seems that Lozada is telling the truth on this issue, while Sec Neri continues to evade the subject," Kiko said.

"Is the truth being covered up here? If there's nothing to hide, the logically thing for Neri to do is to be true to himself, withdraw the SC petition and face the Senate and the people!" Kiko ended.
