KIKO: PALACE NOT YET OFF THE HOOK ON NBN DEAL

"The scrapping of the dubious NBN ZTE deal by Malacañang is good news. We have succeeded in preventing what appeared to be another billion-peso white elephant in the making"

"Still we need to shed light on who the real culprits are who nearly got away with this anomalous transaction. We need to know what Mike Arroyo's involvement, if any, in the deal is. We need to know what PGMA did, if any, when she was informed of the P200M bribe offer. We also need to know if the Malacańang-initiated investigation and announced by the President herself clearing Abalos was a whitewash or an attempt at a cover up and finally, why, despite allegations of bribery and kickbacks that were brought to the attention of no less than the President, the contract was approved just the same. The President in this case cannot invoke executive privilege. Public interest requires an explanation and if need be an accounting."
