Sobriety amid crucial time

Senate President Manny Villar called for sobriety in the face of the impending decision of the Sandiganbayan on President Joseph Estrada's plunder trial tomorrow.

"I call on our people to exercise sobriety in the midst of this fractious moment as a mature race, knowing that the wheels of justice are moving," the Senate President said.

"Time has a way of laying down historical truths, putting them into perspective, and vindicating protagonists," Villar, president of the Nacionalista Party, reminded.

"Let us keep the highest interests of our country in mind as we face this crucial point in our democratic process," he stressed.
