I thank the Filipino people for the overwhelming show of support renewing my mandate as senator of the Republic.

The trust and confidence given by our people will further fuel my drive to serve the country with greater intensity and commitment.

With the infusion of firm and independent-minded senators into the current batch of well-meaning and principled members, the Senate will continue to be a formidable force in providing checks and balances in government while undertaking its principal role of crafting vital laws, the Senate President said.
