ANGARA LAUDS WORKSHOP FOR YOUTH

Sen. Edgardo J. Angara today commended the recently held Asia-Europe Intercultural Learning, a youth workshop initiated by the Philippine National Youth Commission and is attended by different participants around the world.

The activity enabled participants as well as the trainors from different countries to interculturally understand each other in order to disseminate useful and valuable youth projects that would be beneficial for their respective countries.

Angara, who has been hosting a series of cultural workshops for student leaders in various universities in the country, highlighted the importance of the emerging global trend in employment, leisure and especially educationwhere curricula and teaching strategies are becoming international.

We are, in effect, working for each other, getting educated for each other, not just simply for ourselves and for our own fellow Filipinos. Now, we educate students to become teachers, nurses and engineers for the Middle East, for America, for Canada, for Japan, said Angara during the youths farewell party at the Bayview Park Hotel in Manila.

Although activities like this is an opportunity for exchanging dialogues and conveying fellowship among the participants and the trainors, Angara hopes that the Philippine National Youth Commission will echo the workshop in different regions of the country.

Angara also said that he is willing to co-sponsor the regional workshop just to make sure that intracultural understanding among Filipinos is properly disseminated.

Angara authored several laws concerning educational and cultural developments.
