Villar steps up campaign in Eastern Samar,
wants Guiuan to be next top tourist spot

Senate President Manny Villar urged the Department of Tourism to push the development of Guiuan in Eastern Samar as one of the countrys top tourist destinations owing to its pristine beaches.

Villar said, Not only will the development of Guiuan as an international tourist attraction serve to make our country more competitive in tourism, but it will also provide a steady source of livelihood to the people of Eastern Samar and the entire region.

The reelectionist senator who is running as an independent guest candidate of the Genuine Opposition said Guiuan can definitely be the next Boracay with its immaculate beaches.

Guiuan will be the Boracay of Eastern Visayas, Villar said.

At the same time, the Senate President wants to develop the Guiuan airport as part of the proposed tourism project.

Villar stepped up his reelection campaign today in Eastern Samar, visiting the Guiuan public market where he received a warm welcome from market vendors and patrons.
