KIKO ON POOR STUDENTS BEING AMONG
THE HIGHEST IN DEPED CAREER ASSESSMENT EXAM

"The good showing of poor students in the career assessment exam conducted by DepEd is a call to action to our public officialsincumbent and aspiring to focus their attention on education reform. The exam is a reminder of the potential of our Filipino youth, and that this potential could go to waste if we do not come together to provide opportunities to our less fortunate students. We need to put in place a comprehensive voucher system, make educational loans available and offer more scholarship grants to poor students. This will ensure that they can better afford to acquire the much-coveted education that will allow them to realize their full potential. Decentralizing education is also crucial because local community and parents' involvement make a difference in a child's performance. Hence, the challenge is for local communities to take on the lead in instituting decisive reforms in our education system."
