The attendance in the rally can be due to the fact that the public had already seen concrete results in their opposition to the House (of Representatives) effort for a Con-Ass; with the withdrawal of the Con-Ass resolution by Speaker Jose de Venecia, and the announcement by no less than PGMA herself, that 'Cha-Cha was untimely.' The people's will had by then prevailed and thus perhaps, Juan de la Cruz saw that the objectives of the rally had already been met.

The public perhaps opted to focus their energies on other matters. The attendance in yesterday's rally, to my mind, cannot be misconstrued as a lack of support for the CBCP backed Anti Con-Ass drive.
