KIKO ON THE PETITION OF FORMER SENATOR JOHN OSMEA
BEFORE THE SUPREME COURT

"I appeal to the Supreme Court and Chief Justice Renato Puno to act on the petition filed by former Senator John Osmea to finally end the contentious interpretations of Article XVII, Section 1 of our Constitution."

"The Supreme Court has this opportunity to put an end to the seemingly never-ending debates on the provision that the Senate and the House should vote separately in establishing itself as a Constituent Assembly. It will guide future efforts at Charter Change to take the correct path as laid down by the Supreme Court should it decide the case now pending before it."

"An SC ruling would provide direction and clarity as to how a Constituent Assembly is to be done correctly, thereby eliminating a divisive attempt at Charter Change via Constituent Assembly in the future. Amidst the outrage and confusion, our nation needs sobriety and clarity of direction that only a Supreme Court ruling can achieve. We must continue to be vigilant and united in efforts to safeguard the Constitution."
