KIKO LAUDS SHIP FOR SOUTHEAST ASIAN YOUTH
PROGRAMME'S PHILIPPINES DELEGATION

Senate Majority Leader Kiko Pangilinan today congratulated the delegates to the 33rd Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Programme (SSEAYP) as they boarded the Nippon Maru last October 30, 2006. SSEAYP is a program participated in by ASEAN nations, carried out by the Government of Japan.

"I congratulate the Philippine delegation to the 33rd Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Programme for being ambassadors of goodwill and for promoting the best that the Philippines has to offer. These participants are really exceptrional, having bested young people from all over the country, and I am positive that they will further prove their merit once they come back from the program and use all their learning to contribute to nation-building," Kiko said.

The 27 youth leaders joining SSEAYP this year are Edison Rinen II (Region 1), Ma. Jessica Aguinaldo (Region 2), Erick Anthony Valencia and Ethel Protomartir (Region 4), Carlos Martin Antonio Reynoso and Myda Nieves (Region 5), Jose Fulgencio del Rosario and Carmela Barcelona (Region 6), Metodio Maroguinot Jr., Glena Bontuyan and Joy Marie Maglajos (Region 7), Carmelito Nomer DS Abolencia and Carolina Opea (Region 8), Jimmy Patrick Israel Chan (Region 9), Jamar Arobinto and Hani Lei Teves (Region 10), Neil Dublin and April Marie Dayap (Region 11), Edgar Allan Belocura and Esmaida Andang (Region 12), Mujahidah Ameenah Sharief (ARMM), Herminigildo Garrobo and Arlene Kimberly Cullalad (CAR), Dexter Bajade Jr. and Ethel Simyunn (CARAGA) and Patrick Raymund de Veyra and Cherry Ann Dy (NCR). At the helm of this year's batch is national leader Renato Jude Digao, senior political officer and media relations officer of Senate Majority Leader.
