Cayetano expresses sympathy for families
of ABC 5 crew killed in crash

Senator Pia S. Cayetano today expressed grief over the death of the three ABC 5 news crew members who were killed in a vehicular accident in Pamplona, Camarines Sur yesterday afternoon.

The senator also sent her condolences to the relatives, friends and colleagues of ABC 5 reporter Hazel Recheta, who had occasionally covered the Senate beat for the TV station, as well as news team members Arnel Guiao and Ismael Cabugayan.

"Their live news reports on Mt. Mayon's volcanic activity and updates on evacuation and relief efforts around the volcano kept the public informed and helped keep thousands of lives out of harm's way," Cayetano said.

"In the process of saving other lives in the line of duty, they gave up their own," she stressed.
