Nomination Speech for Sen. Manny Villar.

Mr. President, I admire Sen. Manny Villar's political prowess, his persistent and persuasive ability to convince my husband, Pres. Joseph Estrada, for our support.

Mr. President, I am a devoted wife to a man who has a big heart, to a man who has no rancor and bitterness in his heart, who is very, very forgiving especially to those who demonized him and who turned against him.

Mr. President, I am also a devoted wife to a man who has shared my life for the past 47 years with three beautiful children--Sen. Jinggoy Estrada included and six grandchildren. However, I want to convey and to assure this august Chamber that I and my son, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, will never align ourselves with this administration. We will remain with the Opposition until Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's downfall.
