Press statement of Sen. Jamby Madrigal

I am pleased to announce that the United Nations High Commissioner on Human Rights has taken cognizance of the complaint that I have filed. In a letter dated 14 March 2006 to me, Mr. Ambeyi Ligabo, Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression has said that, they are now examining the materials I have sent with a view of possible action. This dispels Malacañang announcement that, my complaint will be dismissed.
