PhilHealth corruption more fatal: Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon describes the alleged corruption in PhilHealth to be more fatal than all the viruses combined. In his opening statement during Tuesday's Committee of the Whole inquiry, August 4, 2020, on alleged irregularities in PhilHealth, Drilon expressed hope that the probe will shed light and eventually stop the alleged widespread corruption within the agency. “Our health care system is on the brink of collapse. Our health care workers are burned out physically and mentally. We are at war yet it seems that plague of PhilHealth corruption could be more fatal than all the viruses combined,” said Drilon.
