Transfer of Krus na Ligas land nears resolution: Senator Chiz Escudero (3rd from right, seated), chairman of the Senate Committee on Education, has tasked the University of the Philippines, the Quezon City government and the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development to validate the technical description, reach a reasonable mutually agreed upon price and identify qualified beneficiaries of Brgy. Escudero laid a tight timetable for the passage of the bill transferring the area covered by Krus Na Ligas from UP to the Quezon City government that in turn will award individual titles to qualified beneficiaries.
