Villar cites contribution of agricrops for economic growth: Speaking during the graduation ceremony of the 8th VILLAR SIPAG Agricops production program at the Villar Sipag Farm in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, Sen. Cynthia Villar cites the importance of agricultural crops to spur economic development. As chair of the Senate committee on agriculture and food, the re-electionist senator has been crafting and pushing legislative measures to improve the living conditions of farmers and stakeholders in the country’s agriculture sector. The Villar Social Institute for Poverty Alleviation and governance (Villar SIPAG), where she sits as its director, has also been giving forms of assistance for free, including trainings and workshops on agriculture at Villar Farm schools.
