Strengthening Philippines-China Relations: Senate President Vicente C. Sotto III, accompanied by Senator Panfilo M. Lacson, receives His Excellency Song Tao, Minister of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (second, left), and Chinese Ambassador Zhao Jianhua (left) in the Philippine Senate. Minister Song Tao and his delegation was in the country to further develop inter-party relations especially with ruling political parties. The Senate President and Minister Song also exchanged views on strengthening bilateral relations between the Philippines and China through frequent exchanges at various levels and branches of government, including legislative institutions.
